You will find starters, soups, poultry, seafood, meat, bakeries and desserts all covered. Many of the recipes are simply lower-fat versions of the originals, example. the french onion soup. The are all quick and very easy to prepare, although not necessarily fat-free. While a lot of these recipes are excellent, some are not really that wonderful because they have been invented by home cooks rather than master chefs. | | |

You dont have to be a member of weight watchers to enjoy their great food. Weight Watchers has a habit of creating recipes that really do taste great and are low fat. All of the recipes that I have tried in this book have been great. The Orange Chicken CousCous was our favorite. The recipes are of decent sized proportions, that will fill you up. This book does not have a great deal of information about their current program, but you can use this book just fine on its own.

Best of all, my family loves them and they are not on diets. My husband especially loves the Southwest Baked Chicken recipe. The twice backed potatoes are really wonderful, as well. I recommend this book very highly to anyone that is on the Weight Watchers program or just wants to eat more healthily but deliciously.

Review of Book Weight Watchers Simply the Best | | Every single recipe I have tried out of here has been excellent. My only bit of caution is to use your points finder on their nutritional info. I know, for example, that the Chocolate Chip Cakies said they were 1 point but when you use your points finder on their nutritional info, they actually came out to 2 points. Other than that, everything has been very tasty. Kudos to Weight Watchers for providing cookbooks with great TASTING recipes that are good for you.

Review of Book Weight Watchers Simply the Best | | A few years ago, during my second Weight Watching experience, I treated myself by ordering SIMPLY THE BEST, 250 PRIZEWINNING FAMILY RECIPES. It was a tremendous help with low fat/low calorie cooking, of which I knew little. Now in my third offical episode of Weight Watching, I find that I still use this version of SIMPLY THE BEST quite often. Our entire family (even those who do not need to watch their weight.) appreciates the variety and tasty offerings. We can especially recommend Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad and Baked Yams with Pineapple. Even if this books recipes only broke up the monotony of my usual family menus, it would be very worthwhile. Since one can also lose weight and feel healthier using its recipes, it is particularly worth considering. I recommend it above all other Weight Watchers and low fat/low calorie cookbooks I own and will probably still be enjoying it in all my future Weight Watching endeavors.

I was surprised many recipes dont call for any spices or seasonings. I had to add spices, seasonings, and flavorful broths just to make the food edible. Low-fat and low-calorie food doesnt have to be this bland. This book is not worth it. Save your money.

I find inspiration in the bio of the chef. I also like the fact that these recipes come from people just like you and me. Not a gourmet chef that works in a restaurant. There are quite a few recipes in this book (it is over 250 pages) and I have tried at least one every day since getting the book. Im pleased with the results.

I have several Weight Watcher cookbooks and my favorites are always the ones with recipes that members send in. They use regular food that you will find in your own supermarket. Most recipes are very simple to make. But best of all, all of the recipes Ive tried have been excellent. Some of our family favorites are the Oven Beef Stew, Linguine with Turkey Sausage, Mexican Egg Brunch, Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad (wonderful marinade.), and the Hamburger Nests. You really cant go wrong with this cookbook. It is great.

I have used it for the past 8 months and have lost 30 pounds and 30 inches.. My husband and children love the food combinations and it is very easy to make a shopping list from this cook book. Mine is almost worn out. My friends that have eaten what I have made have either purchased the cook book (some are not even in WW)or I have bought it for them. I bought the book not as a means to lose weight but as a weight gain prevention measure which would allow me to maintain my current weight, continue eating healthy, and still receive proper nutrition. This book is definitely not one of those trendy upscale diets, written by a famous name celebrity, that do little more than play on an individuals desire to look like the slim, svelt figure on the cover (not to mention, enhance the authors already lucrative career and finances.) How many people do you know who have actually shed pounds on a fad diet, have not regained any of that weight within the next two years or less Probably not many. Keeping weight off means adopting healthy eating habits and getting adequate, regular exercise. Weight Watchers goes hand-in-hand with weight loss, weight control and nutrition. It means pure, simple, healthy eating with a flair and the recipes truly are, simply the best. The chicken marsala with grapes is my favourite - oooh, it is so yummy. You will not be disappointed in this book. there are enough recipes here to give you a varied selection in menu planning for quite some time, and it is all absolutely scrumptous and healthy.

As a mom with a young child, I need recipes that are quick and easy, and especially tasty for my husband and son. I have yet to make a dish from this cookbook that doesnt get rave reviews. They usually dont even know its a low fat recipe.. I would recommend this to anyone looking for healthier eating regardless of your cooking skills, the recipes are easy to follow and there are great color pictures.

I realize that since this has become a way of life, I need to learn how to cook to enjoy it. I have been able to use this cookbook to cook my daily meals and they are good. My husband really enjoyed to Chicken Enchiladas and the Maple Pumpkin Pie. The recipes are easy and can be prepared in 15 minutes or less and my 3 year old likes them. So, all in all, the cookbook is Simply the Best. If you are on the program, then this cookbook will make it worth the weight.

Review of Book Weight Watchers Simply the Best | | Having joined Weight Watchers a few years ago, I purchased this book at a local bookstore. The first recipe I tried was Mushroom Barley Soup. That dish alone is worth the of the book. As I live alone, I prepare a recipe, divide it into portions, seal each in a vacuum seal bag and freeze them for later use. I especially love the Chicken Cacciatore, Chicken Marsala, and Oven Beef Stew. It was terribly hot here today so I prepared a Tuna-Macaroni Salad. Yumm...and for five points, the servings are huge. And as a quick dessert, may I recommend the Brownie Pie. It takes minutes to prepare and has only two points a serving. As the title of the review suggests, this book will work for everyone, dieting or not. Your family will love the recipes and you wont have to tell them that the food is low fat and healthy. I have over 500 cookbooks and this is one of my favorites. It will be one of yours too.

But the recipes in this cookbook have blown me away. For example, the hummus rivals anything Ive had in a restaurant and the curried shrimp over rice is perfectly flavored and to die for. In no particular order, these are some of my favorite things about this book. recipes call for a limited number of ingredients. ingredients are normal food found at normal grocery stores. prep time is short (sometimes just a few minutes.). Weight Watchers 1-2-3 Points plus more detailed nutritional information provided. large number of vegetarian recipes. lots of main dishes adaptable by those who pack their lunches. It is chock full of delicious recipes that are easy to make, healthy, and delicious. Among my favorites are the One Dish Turkey with Stuffing. Glazed Carrots. Twice Baked Potatos. Apple Cake. and Pasta with Seafood in Lemon Dill Sauce. We will be cooking these recipes long after we are done losing weight. We have lost count of how many of the recipes we have tried, and I think there is only one we wouldnt cook again. This easily can become the most used cookbook in your home, even if you arent trying to lose weight.

My family and I love the recipes, especially the beef stew (YES. Beef Stew) and apple dumplings. The pictures are beautiful and make everything look good enough to eat. Weve tried about half the recipes in the book, and havent had a bad meal yet. If youre following the Weight Watchers 1-2-3 Program, the book is a companion to it, and its so helpful when youre struggling with how to figure out points and meals for a day or week.
