Book Weight Watchers Great Cooking Every Day

This book is worthy of any gourmet cooking book. The fact that it is specially designed to be used with the Weight Watchers POINTS program is completely irrelevant. It will be a wonderful tool for any Weight Watcher in addition to their normal plan, but can be used as an inspirational book by normal people as well. I have always loved the Culinary Institutes books for their insight on making a good recipe even better, but in this book, they bring their talent to everyday foods. I strongly recommend this book to anyone concerned about the fat content of normal gourmet recipes, and it will hold a special place on my Cookbook shelf.

- Most of the meals I cook are solo meals. The recipes in this book are mainly geared for four, but theyre easily broken down.
- Im a fish-eating vegetarian. Despite my diet, I found many useful recipes. Also, many of the meat andamp. poultry dishes can easily be converted.
- Im not, nor have I ever been, a Weight Watchers follower. I have, however, been morbidly obese (aka REALLY FAT). I lost over 115 lb andamp. have kept it off for over 4 years. No medical aids, fad diets... just water, diet andamp. exercise (Im too passionate to elaborate. Id write a book if I tried. Just know that you CAN lose weight, as long as you arent in a rush (the turtle won the race.) Make slow changes andamp. youll succeed. Time is key). ...Getting back on my original track... I look for books that include nutritional breakdowns of their recipes. This book does that.

I got this cookbook not because Im in Weight Watchers, but I enjoy healthy eating. Some of the recipes sound interesting enough, but arent everyday fare. There are a lot of recipes that require one to live in a good-sized city to have access to the ingredients (oysters, lobster, arborio rice, wild mushrooms, different cheeses, semolina flour, creme fraiche, demi-glace sauce.) None of the recipes really seem kid-friendly, or low-fat versions of tried-and-true favorites. The dessert section doesnt have anything in it that hasnt already been covered by one of the other WW cookbooks. I greatly prefer Simply the Best and The Best of WW Magazine Cookbook to this one.

I own many Weight Watchers cookbooks and this one is the worst I have seen. It calls for unusual ingredients and I dont consider it for everyday cooking at all. This one is strictly for gourmets and cooking school students. The other WW cookbooks are much more useful. I am sorry I wasted my money.

As a new member of Weight Watchers, I was looking for something to use that would support my weight loss efforts. This book is an excellent choice. Each recipe is presented in a very easy-to-understand format. In addition, each recipe offers calorie info, fat, sodium, carbohydrate, protein and calcium info per serving. The Point amounts are clearly stated for each recipe which makes it so easy to keep track of on the plan. The recipes are fresh and new. things like Spicy Asian Grilled Shrimp and Broccoli with Orange Sesame Sauce are delicious. This is very nice addition to my cookbook collection and a great tool to have around while I learn to change my eating habits.

The people at Weight Watchers have published several cook-books before, filled with recipes that stayed within their dieting guidelines, but they must have heard one too many comments of Yes, its healthy, but...it tastes a little like cardboard. So theyve gone to the experts. The Culinary Institute of America. This wonderful collaboration has resulted in the best of both worlds. Healthy food (which even fits into their newest 1-2-3 program) that tastes FABULOUS. Because if were at Weight Watchers to begin with, we must love food, right Now theres great-tasting food that wont go straight to your hips and thats the sort of cook-book I like.
