I think that if advertisers werent allowed to outright lie and exploit loopholes in the rules regarding advertising and claims made, there wouldnt be as much confusion and misinformation about dieting and exercise as there is. You could kiss all those fad diets and products goodbye and the world would be a better place.

Advertisers rely a lot on "fine print". they tell you the truth, but theres usually a catch or caveat somewhere that you have to look out for. Notice that ALL of those workout products that claim you can change your body overnight also state that you need to combine it with a "healthy diet and lifestyle". Which basically means you have to cut calories, eat better, AND use their Total Gym or whatever to change your body.
